Captain Robert J. Hasselbring was an Army engineer and participated as a company commander of the 840th Engineer Aviation Brigade in the construction of K-55. You can read his brief introduction below, or go straight to the slide show.
"The enclosed pictures were taken after the 840th EAB had finished our work at K-55. We moved to a muddy plot at the edge of Seoul with orders to prepare some tropical hut-type buildings for a planned Air Force school of some sort. For each picture, I will try to describe what is depicted."
