"Ken Then" Shallenbarger

updated 9/13/09

Ken Shallenbarger was stationed at Osan Air Base from 1974-1979.  Ken knew everybody and everybody knew Ken.

If you looked up the word "loquacious" in the dictionary, you'd see Ken's picture beside it. It may have been in the Korean dictionary, too. The photos here show Ken and a few of the many people who knew him.

Ken visited Osan in April 2004 and provided a lot of photos of the Songtan area (aka Sinjang Shopping Mall) and surroundings.  These are posted as a self-running slide show and can be viewed as a single large show or broken into segments of roughly related images.

After his recent visit, Ken provided a compact disc of many photos from his active duty time and some from later visits. These have been culled to show only the G-rated ones and divided into four slide shows. The photos in the first three shows are generally from the 1975-76 period.
