Curley Brinton Knepp, 1933-2010

Three slide shows of his life, his death, and
his remembrance by those who knew him.

These slide shows were produced from photos provided to the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 10216 in Songtan, Pyeongtaek, Korea, by Curley Knepp, by family members, and by members of VFW Post 10216. The first slide show comprises photos of Curley from his service in the Korean War up to his place of honor at the VFW's Loyalty Day Parade. The second slide show is made up of photos of the funeral ceremony conducted by members of VFW Post 10216 prior to the cremation. The third slide show is comprised of photos taken at a special Retreat Ceremony in honor of Curley Knepp's service in war and peace, as an active duty soldier and as a military retiree.

Some of the earliest photos of Korea that you see in the "Then and Now" series were provided to RAO-Osan by Curley Knepp and you'll see his name alongside Robert Evilsizor and Bob Furrer from whom Curley had received the photos.
